Gary Weston

NEDonBoard Regional President

Gary Weston holds NXD positions with Gecko New Media and is Chair of the UWS Sirens, Scotlands only professional female sports team.

Gary is passionate about business, about the often unrealised potential that companies and their staffs have lurking just under the surface. He developed his approach to helping and working with SME’s as the continuation of a highly successful corporate career which saw him operate in several continents and across a wide range of industries.

The scale of these businesses ranges from start-ups with revenues of less than £150K to multi-nationals shipping products in excess of £2.5B per annum and everything in between.  He has been involved in 4 start-ups and in 3 closures and at one point was responsible for thousands of employees across 9 sites in India, North America and the UK.

Since 2009 Gary has been delivering business coaching through Vistage International as a Chair from 2009-present, as an interim manager and NXD at board level for a number of SME companies and most recently as a Strategic Consultant with Scottish Enterprise, delivering a methodology for creating and implementing growth strategies – the Symbiotic Strategy Cycle.

Nilesh Gopali

Nilesh has over 20 years experience in in the financial and retail / ecommerce technology markets, and is known for giving business leaders pragmatic, forward-looking business strategies they can count on.

As an entrepreneur and business consultant based in London for sixteen years, Nilesh led, conceptualised and was responsible for the growth of a wide range of organisations, from SMEs to global enterprises, turning their creative visions into viable business models, generating increased revenue across both geographical and cultural borders (UK, EU & Asia/India). He played a pivotal role in the launch of Metro Bank, was the Strategy Architect for the UK Post Office’s 2020 Tech Vision and was an integral part of the initial DHL team that oversaw their transformation to a spare parts logistics business.

Nilesh returned to India five years ago; now focuses on UK companies’ market entry into India along with strategic investments. Currently is a ‘Business Mentor’ in London Mayor’s International Programme, sits on the Indian National Steering Committee CII for Artificial Intelligence, Future Biz in India & Ecommerce groups.

Hajara Al Amodi

Hajara AlAmodi is the founder and chief in charge of Al Amodi Avenues. She was also the founder of a software services company in the USA, named Waadi Corporation, which she successfully grew to multi-million dollars in revenue. Hajara ran large-scale technology projects for companies in South Asian countries.

She sits on the board of international companies in e-commerce, e-learning, real estate, education and research such as VivaCity Global in Nigeria, Comfort homes builders in India and Unisoft in USA. She also Co-Chairs, the Chicago campaign of 2020 Women on Boards in Chicago, which is focused on increasing women diversity on corporate boards and creating a pathway for them to succeed in the boardroom. She also does similar work in the Middle East working and helping the 30% Club, on their research committee. She is often invited to speak on technology and its progress, business & investments and on the changing landscape of boardrooms and role of diversity

Hans Christian Iversen

Hans works as a non-exec director and chairman for a number of PE and private companies as well as operating as an international leadership mentor and coach for multinational companies. He was previously VP for Disney-Egmont in eastern and central Europe and has also been a partner in consulting with both Deloitte, BDO, Roland Berger and has worked in Corporate Finance.

He operates in six languages and is very  keen on the professionalism and development of non-exec boards and their work across the UK and Europe.

Hans is a strong supporter of the work conducted by NEDonBoard.

Nicky Heathcote

Nicky is a Non Executive Director at Propertymark and Chair of the Property Code Compliance Board at the Code of Property Search Organisations (COPSO). She has over 30 year’s of experience in the public sector where she provided strategic support, advice and constructive challenge to CEOs, Chairs, Executive and Non-Executive Directors.

Having led several high profile, complex strategic reviews on alternative business structures, new business strategies and large transformation programmes, Nicky has worked on cross government agendas including housing, transparency, anti-corruption, counter-fraud, infrastructure, devolution, asset sales, international development and safer gambling.

Through her various roles, global speaking and membership of international committees, Nicky has influenced policy and industry standards. For example, Nicky was the UK Government’s representative on the UNECE Bureau and Committee for Housing and Land Management.

Nicky holds NEDonBoard in the highest regard and supports the professional approach to creating effective strong and modern Boards equipped to seize the opportunities of today and respond to the challenges of tomorrow.

Bryan Shutes

Bryan is a non-executive director, of a number of UK and African companies, in the tech sector, and has previously been a director and senior employee for a number of Multi-National technology companies. He has worked directly across Europe, Africa and Asia.

He is also involved within the Charity sector, with particular focus on Animals and Mental Health

Bryan is an engineer, and manages a company developing products in the IoT area, with a particular emphasis on the developing world.

He is a member of the IEEE Wireless standards group, and involved with the concept of Trade Secrets, within entrepreneurship.

Bryan is a strong supporter of the work of NEDonBoard.

Patrick-McPhilamy

Patrick McPhilamy

W. Patrick McPhilamy, III is an attorney and has been in practice for over 25 years as Principal Attorney of the Law Office of W. Patrick McPhilamy, III, located in the Greater Los Angeles, California (USA) area. He also has substantial experience serving on and working with the board of directors of several organizations, including both for-profit and non-profit entities. He earned a Master of Law degree from the University of Cambridge, a Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. He also received a Diploma, Institute on International and Comparative Law in London, UK, held at the University of London, from the University of San Diego School of Law, and he studied law for a summer at the University of Oxford.

Richard Winfield

Richard Winfield is a systems thinker with many years’ experience as a management development consultant. He specialises in director and board development, and corporate governance. He works internationally as a consultant, facilitator and trainer, providing away days, corporate retreats, workshops and board performance assessments, and coaching new directors and boards.
Richard is the creator of the DirectorsAcademy.com and author of The New Directors Handbook and its NED and AIM companions, Checklists for Directors and Boards, and the CPD for Directors series.
He has co-founded several companies, held non-executive directorships and served on the board of governors of the International Association of Coaching.
