Increasingly, business owners are considering opportunities to maintain their legacy through establishing new governance structures, including employee owned trusts. Providing a mechanism for the employee voice to be embedded in decision making and core values to be prioritised alongside profit, this event will include case studies of employee owned trusts from experienced trustees, and highlight the ingredients needed to make them work well.
At NEDonBoard we often see opportunities to serve as trustees of employee owned trusts, so as well as hearing from peers some considerations and good practices for employee owned trust governance, this event will enable you to develop your knowledge to serve new types of board.
Guest speakers include:
- Helen Moreton – Helen serves on the boards of a number of well-known employee owned trusts, including Lush, Go Ape, Riverford Organic Farmers, Hockley Mint, Espace Global Freight and Architype. She is also the Founder and Director of Boombox Consulting, working with teams and individuals to create powerful personal and cultural change with longevity and meaningful results.
- Gary Davie – A Partner at a law firm, Gary specialises in corporate finance of owner managed businesses. As well as helping numerous businesses make the transition to employee ownership, he also acts as a non-exec director of a number of employee owned businesses.
- Robert Adnitt – Robert has business owner experience of creating an employee owned trust.
