As an experienced or aspiring Chair, it is important to continue to strive for best practice and continue your learning and understanding of the role you are in. An insightful evening for any Chair or Board Member keen to keep engaged with current Board level thoughts, discussions and best practices.
Relevant to Chairs from a variety of sectors and types of organisation as well as non-executive directors and board members, we look forward to welcoming you on Tuesday 25th September.
Our events are designed for, and will most benefit, chairs, non-executive directors, board members, business leaders or executives operating at or near board level. Your board level peers are often the first to know of upcoming roles within the organisations they work for – come and meet them as making the most of engaging at our events is an important aspect of developing your board level career.

Panel Speaker Bios:
Sharon Constancon is CEO of Genius Methods and Genius Boards – a Group that offers tailored robust, behaviour focused board evaluations, mentoring, corporate governance services and training to many industries, listed entities and regulated businesses including FTSE, SME, Family, Investment Trusts, Insurance, Financial Services, Mutuals, Regulated, Health Services, Charities and the Housing Sector.
Sharon has a well attested reputation for providing confidential, straightforward, honest and effective Board Evaluations which have successfully empowered Boards to improve performance.
Sharon regularly addresses industry audiences, runs workshops and chairs roundtable debates or panels. She has her stories and those as Board Evaluator which she successfully uses to help others understand the dynamics of the Board and of being a NED.
A Chartered Director, Chartered Secretary and has an MBA. Chairman of the South African Chamber of Commerce, Non-Executive Director for Transact SA, International Committee Member for CISI, Membership Committee Member for WCCSA and CEO of Valufin, a forex advisory firm. Previous roles include various NED roles and Chairman of Conduct and Culture Committee for Buckinghamshire Building Society.
Sharon was awarded the SACC Business Woman of the Year in 2013 and in 2015 a finalist for the prestigious IoD Neville Bain Memorial Award.
Lorraine was named in the 2017 Northern Power Women list and also in the 2016 Cranfield ‘100 Women to Watch’ report. She is an experienced, portfolio Non-Executive Director, and currently is Chair of a building products company, a pension fund and operates her own business providing Board, CEO and business mentoring services, operational excellence and governance support, to a variety of private clients & companies. Additionally, Lorraine has chaired many board committees, including remuneration, nomination and audit committees. Her key interest areas key skills are strategy definition, major change management and stakeholder engagement.
Previously Lorraine spent twenty years in manufacturing and construction with Pilkington plc.
Hans Christian Iversen
Hans works as a non-exec director and chairman for a number of PE and private companies as well as operating as an international leadership mentor and coach for multinational companies. He was previously VP for Disney-Egmont in eastern and central Europe and has also been a partner in consulting with both Deloitte, BDO, Roland Berger and has worked in Corporate Finance.
He operates in six languages and is very keen on the professionalism and development of non-exec boards and their work across the UK and Europe.

Annemarie has 30 years international business and banking experience particularly across Asia and Africa operating at CEO, listed Executive Director and Group executive committee level with Standard Chartered plc. Currently Annemarie serves on the boards of WHSmith Plc and Santander UK PLC where she is Remco Chair. She has Chair experience having previously chaired the Listing Authority Advisory Panel, the body that advises the Financial Conduct Authority on listing issues. Annemarie is also a mentor with Merryck & Co and has her own practice as an accredited executive coach
Paul Mullins OBE
Paul has been a mergers and acquisitions adviser for 25 years at Schroders, Citigroup, Bank of America and DC Advisory. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. From 2008 to 2016 Paul was a member of the BIS sponsored Industrial Development Advisory Board, serving as Chair from 2012. He is currently Chair of The Unilink Group (since 2015) and Chair of MWS Technology (since 2018).

Yes, as long as you update the details before the event. There is a security check at the entrance of the building. We need all names before the event.

How many attendees?
Our events are designed for 40 to 70 attendees.
What will be the format of the evening?
Welcome drinks will be provided at 6:45pm, with the panel discussion commencing at 19:15. Following this there will be opportunity for Q&A and networking with your board level peers.
