NEDonBoard Board Best Practice, Remuneration Committee

As a non-executive director, board member and chair, it is important to strive for best practice and share with your peers in a safe environment.
This panel event centers around NEDonboard Board Best Practices® identified by the experienced NEDonBoard remuneration committee community, and is highly relevant to any board member who holds a remuneration committee role, or who is looking to do so.
Panel chair, Jane Williams, MD at People Innovation and Member of the Doctors and Dentists Pay Review Body at the NHS, Cranfield Top 100 WTW 2016, People Innovation has been named by SSE FTSE 50 as Remuneration Committee Advisor. Jane advised three other FTSE listed and one Swiss listed Remuneration Committee. In the Not for Profit Sector, she chaired the Remuneration Committee and was a member of Remuneration and Nominations Committees for a second. She advised the Chair on the establishment of the Remuneration Committee for the newly divested Post Office. Jane specialises also in People and Business Transformation, Remuneration, Strategy, Mergers and Acquisitions, Pensions, Governance and Risk.
Panel speaker: Francesca Ecsery, portfolio non-executive director and remuneration committee board member, with expertise in Marketing and 25+ years’ experience in directing in both blue chip companies and start-ups in the Digital / Retail / FMCG / Leisure Travel industries.
Currently, Francesca is a Non-Executive Director at F&C Investment Trust plc., at Marshall Motor Holdings plc., Share plc. and at Air France.
She is an investor in a number of consumer tech start-ups, acts as advisor in the leisure travel, retail & digital marketing sectors and works as a Commercial Coach to several entrepreneurs. She is also the founder and Director of Advantage Portugal, a one-stop provider of personalised professional services to help foreigners investigate establishing homes, businesses or investments in Portugal. Francesca is passionate about all matters relating to women in the workplace and gender equality. She devotes considerable time to mentoring and facilitating career development opportunities for women as well as actively promoting the importance of gender equality at work to relevant audiences.
Panel Speaker: Jane Anscombe
Jane is a non-executive director of GVC Holdings (FTSE 250) and chair of its remuneration committee. She joined the GVC Board in June 2017. She has more than 30 years of experience in the leisure and entertainment sectors, primarily as an equity research analyst and a director of investor relations. She retired from equity research in spring 2017 having been a gaming and TMT analyst at Edison Investment Research since its formation in 2003.
Panel Speaker: Sundeep Bhandari
Sundeep, is currently INED with PNBIL UK and Chairs the Board Risk Committee, in addition to Interim Chair Board Audit and Compliance Committee. He is also a Director with Community Savings Bank and a Trustee with a charity based in East London, 15billion-EBP. This charity aims to deliver quality work and career related programmes with schools, employers and young people. Moreover, he is also a Mentor with Virgin Start-up supporting young entrepreneurs as well as providing advise to small businesses. He previously enjoyed both a domestic and international career, having worked with Barclays for 13 years (1987-1999), across a number of branches in North East London, followed by an international career in Asia. He moved to Standard Chartered Bank (2000-2015), working in Singapore, Mumbai, Hong Kong and Dubai, returning to London in 2016. Formerly, Global Head of Internal Audit, Co-Head of Wholesale Banking and Managing Director Global Markets South Asia, based in Mumbai and North Asia, based in Hong Kong, prior to that he was Group Chief Credit Officer Wholesale Banking based in Singapore and London.

Welcome refreshments will be provided at 6:45pm, with the discussion commencing at 19:15. Following this there will be opportunity for Q&A and networking with your board level peers.
