NEDonBoard – Corporate Governance Reforms Panel – Chairman of FRC, Sir Win Bischoff

Ahead of the introduction of Corporate Governance Reforms in January 2019, NEDonBoard will be hosting a panel discussion dedicated to the NED community for NEDs and Board members of listed companies and those regulated by the FRC. Speaking on the panel is Sir Win Bischoff, Chairman of the FRC.

Sir Win Bischoff is Chairman of the Financial Reporting Council in the United Kingdom and Chairman of JP Morgan Securities plc. He is a member of the International Advisory Board of Akbank TAS, Turkey. Since 1983 he has served on the boards of 10 major public companies (5 in the UK, 3 in the US, 2 in Europe).
He was previously Chairman of Lloyds Banking Group plc (2009-2014). Sir Win has substantial experience of leading international committees and boards. His background spans a range of sectors, including banking and capital markets, finance and government regulation and public policy. He was CEO and then Chairman of Schroders plc (1984-2000), Chairman of Citigroup Europe (2000-2009) and interim CEO and then Chairman of Citigroup Inc (2007-2009).
Sir Win was awarded a Knighthood in the New Year Honours List in 2000 for services to the banking industry, and an Honorary Doctorate in Science by City University, London in the same year. In 2016 he was awarded a Non-Executive Director Lifetime Achievement Award.
Julie is the founder and CEO of the new workplace advice platform Rungway, launching into a number of leading organisations focusing on culture transformation.
She is an experienced Non Executive Director, currently serving on the Santander UK board, and was previously the Senior Independent Director, Chairman of the Risk Committee, and Chairman of the Innovation Committee for Aberdeen Asset Management. She also served on the boards of Amlin Insurance, where she was Chairman of the Remuneration Committee, and Spirit Pubs.
Kathie Child-Villiers, MBA
Senior Independent Director and Chair of Audit Committee at AIM-listed Utilitywise plc,an independent Non Executive Director at Bank of Montreal Capital Markets Limited, independent Non Executive Chairman at Constantine Group Ltd., and Trustee and Chair of Finance Committee at Temple Grove Academy Trust.
She spent five years as a Non Executive Director and member of the Audit Committee of BW Offshore, an oilfield services company listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. She left this board when the company merged with Prosafe Productions.

Our events are designed for 40 to 70 attendees.
What will be the format of the evening?
Welcome drinks will be provided at 6:45pm, with the panel discussion commencing at 19:15. Following this there will be opportunity for Q&A and networking with your board level peers.
