Glasgow: NXD Introduction to Businesses with RBS Accelerator Cohort
September 16 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
Co-hosted by NEDonBoard and the Royal Bank of Scotland Entrepreneur Accelerator, we are pleased to welcome our NXD, Board and Board Advisor community to join us for an opportunity to engage with graduates of RBS’ current Entrepreneur Accelerator business cohort.
For Board Members:
Connection and Knowledge are essential aspects of building a non-executive director career and developing the right network is part and parcel of this.
To connect the NEDonBoard community with businesses interested in their expertise, we co-host regular board member-business networking events. This event is an excellent opportunity to meet with local startups and SMEs based at RBS’ Entrepeneur Accelerator, to grow and develop your business network. Many non-executive director roles, particularly within startups and SMEs, come through those you know – you want to be known to them when their boards are looking to appoint a new NXD or advisory board member.
If you’re an experienced or aspiring non-executive director, you’ll also be interested to hear our experienced NXD guest speakers’ experiences and insight to complement this social NXD networking occasion.
For RBS Accelerator Entrepreneurs – Glasgow Cohort
Why entrepreneurs need non-executive directors and/or advisory board members
Both non-executive directors and advisory board members bring entrepreneurs a wealth of resources, including contacts, partners and access to resources. They contribute their experience and expertise and complement the skills of the entrepreneurs and his/her team. They provide a sounding board, manage complex decision-making and contribute to the growth and success of the business. In addition, their presence promotes investor confidence by increasing the value of the business and likelihood of attracting external funding.
How NEDonBoard can help entrepreneurs increase the likelihood of success of their companies?
NEDonBoard members are experienced professionals who are looking to contribute their skills, expertise and experience to businesses. NEDonBoard can help entrepreneurs access this pool of talents.
To attend, please register in advance.
To get the most from this networking event, we request for board members to share a succinct overview of how you can best support businesses in a NXD or advisory board member capacity; and request RBS Accelerator entrepreneurs to please provide a short overview of your company and where you could most benefit from the addition of board level, advisory board or mentor expertise. These details will be shared with fellow attendees for networking purposes.
We look forward to welcoming you.
