British Judo is the National Governing Body for Judo in Great Britain, responsible for raising the profile and delivering medal-winning performances and helping everyone enjoy and achieve in Judo.
British Judo is seeking to appoint a Chair to lead the Association to Tokyo and beyond together with growing the grassroots of the sport, drive the BJA’s mission and vision by providing inclusive leadership to the Association and Board. The Chair will be will be responsible for developing strategic leadership, external relations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of the Board and build a strong relationship with the Chief Executive and the wider management team to lead the organisation up to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The Chair will also support, and, where appropriate, challenge the Chief Executive and ensure that the Board functions as a unit and works closely with the entire Executive of the BJA to achieve agreed objectives. He or she will act as an ambassador and the public face of the BJA in partnership with the Chief Executive.
