We are an agency for youth-led development. We place young people at the forefront of change and development, and we are now seeking a Chair of trustees.
Restless Development has grown significantly over recent years, and has become internationally recognised as a leading light in the youth and international development sector. Responding to the priorities of young people around the world with a model for transformative change, our Global Strategy is pioneering a new type of decentralised agency: Locally driven, globally connected and becoming bigger than the sum of our parts through the Youth Collective, enabling thousands of local groups and organisations and millions of young people to lead change.
Cutting-edge, values-led and dynamic in our culture, we work out of ten global hubs to offer expertise, support and innovation for youth and partners around the globe.
As a visionary, innovative and values-led organisation, we are seeking a new Chair to provide leadership and direction to Restless Development’s International Board of Trustees. The Chair will also be responsible for line management of the Chief Executive Officer, and will work closely with the other trustees and the Senior Leadership team.
We need an individual who can demonstrate success in strategic leadership, skilfully leading trustees and facilitating constructive discussions. The ideal candidate will have experience of organisations going through change, leading and supporting the process.
We want to see candidates who have a passion for Youth Leadership and the eradication of poverty, and will be proud to carry the banner for youth-lead development. We need a professional with high standards who works collaboratively, eager to become part of the Restless family. Whilst we need someone with previous experience as a Board member, international development experience is not crucial. What is essential is an individual with strategic leadership, who lives and breathes our values, and who has proven sector empathy.
We are Restless. We are unleashing the power of youth to change our world. Join us.

This is a voluntary role. We will cover all reasonable expenses.
