Overview

Chair – 3 days per week (on average) – £45,000

Times are challenging for the NHS but at Sussex Partnership we have a clear vision for our future and, most importantly, how we’re going to get there. We’re thinking boldly and creatively about how we work, and what we can do differently to help us provide the best possible care to patients both now and in the future. Being a Foundation Trust has brought us closer to our local communities, whilst our teaching trust status recognises our work in research and development; all of which allows us to champion the reduction of stigma and discrimination for people who use our services.

Providing specialist mental health, learning disability and prison healthcare across Sussex and the South East, we value working in partnership with others; leading by example, and encouraging innovation and high quality performance.

Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an inspirational Chair, who, working with our Board and Council of Governors, can lead our organisation in the next stage of its journey of improvement

With a track record of strategic, board level leadership, and experience of operating in a non executive capacity, your role as Chair will be to challenge and monitor the executive team, to support and guide the Council of Governors, while instilling appropriate values and behaviours. What’s more, you’ll be ambassador for Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, championing the organisation externally.

We are committed to equality and diversity, and would welcome applications from underrepresented groups.
