Tennis2Be is at an exciting growth stage and are looking to take on an advisor / trustee with a strong legal background within the charity sector. All our trustees are appointed to provide leadership, guidance and to help develop the charity whilst continually steering it along a strategic and sustainable path.
We are looking to recruit an individual with a passion for using sports as a way of breaking down social barriers whilst enhancing equality and social change.
What we are looking for?
We are looking for individuals who are motivated, enthusiastic, open to acquiring new skills and not afraid to get stuck in! You will also have the ability to problem solve and find creative solutions, whilst showing excellent people skills to work with the rest of the team.
You will be required to work in partnership to support the Chief Executive in order to achieve the aims of the organisation whilst maintaining the Charity’s credibility.
The board of trustees collectively need skills and experience in the following areas:
– Collaborative partnerships
– Impact analysis
– Audit and Accounting
– Income generation and funding
Each applicant should have:

– Good, independent judgement
– Strategic vision
– An ability to think creatively
– A willingness to meet the minimum time requirement
We hold committee meetings quarterly (8 hours per annum) over and above any projects you will be involved in
Occasionally attend a fundraising / important event / meetings
The ideal candidate would be someone who knows how sports charities operate and has some knowledge of community tennis challenges but much of this can be gained by involvement in the Charity. The candidate must also have experience with Licensing agreements and tendering.
Please note that this position involves a six (6) month adjustment period before you are appointed on the board of trustees.
