Edge Hill University is seeking to appoint new members to its Board of Governors. We are looking for people with significant professional, academic or business experience at a senior level to complement our existing team. As well as your experience, we are looking for a high level of commitment to, and interest in, higher education and to the further development of Edge Hill University in particular.

The Board of Governors has oversight of the educational character and mission of the University with specific responsibilities for financial probity and the effective use of resources. It comprises both lay and appointed members.

The role of Governor is not salaried but the majority of meetings are held in the evenings. Travel expenses may be paid.

We welcome applications from everyone irrespective of gender and ethnic group but, as women and members of ethnic minority groups are currently under-represented on the board, we would encourage applications from members of these groups.

Appointment will be based on merit alone.

If you are interested in applying or would like further details, please e-mail Lesley Munro, Clerk to Governors, at Lesley.Munro@edgehill.ac.uk.
