Independent Non-Executive Director with expertise in marketing and fund raising

Mountain Training United Kingdom (MTUK) currently has five Directors and is recruiting to replace one director. The Directors share the responsibility for overseeing the management of the organisation and implementing the strategic objectives of its Members.

What Do We Mean When We Ask For Independent Directors?

A person is independent if they are free from any close connection or involvement with Mountain Training UK. It’s easier to define people who are NOT independent, so examples of these include:

  • Representatives of Member organisations
  •  MTUK Course Providers and Directors
  • Mountain Training staff
  • Relatives of MTUK Board of Directors

If you are unsure please drop us an email explaining your situation for some advice.

Role Description

The role of the Board of Directors is to develop and implement the strategic decisions of the Members.

The Board of Directors of Mountain Training UK meets four times a year. Directors’ meetings are held by phone conference. There are a further three meetings of Members per year.
