The Society is now seeking suitable applicants to fill a Board vacancy as Non Executive Director.

The purpose of the role is to:

  • Contribute to the entrepreneurial leadership of the Society
  • Direct the business, develop strategy and monitor delivery of strategic objectives
  • Ensure the Society fulfills its responsibilities to customers
  • Ensure effective risk management and oversee compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Review the performance of the management team

The successful candidate will take responsibility for chairing the Audit & Compliance Board Committee and therefore needs to have both recent and relevant financial experience. Preferred candidates will therefore hold a recognised accounting qualification and have either significant financial management and/or auditing experience within retail financial services.

Directors are required to attend monthly board meetings – all the meetings take place in Mansfield.

Directors are also expected to attend relevant seminars and training courses to keep up to date with industry & corporate governance developments.

The estimated time requirement to perform this role is 3 days per month.

An appropriate Non Executive Director fee will be paid.
