Following the recent appointment of Sir Michael Rake as Chairman of the Trust (from 1 November 2017), we now require an exceptionally talented individual to lead our organisation in shaping and achieving our ambitious strategy. Working in partnership with the Chairman and rest of the Board, the Non-Executive Director will provide inspirational and dynamic leadership to our Trust. We wish to hear from candidates with Board level experience as an Executive and ideally as a Non-Executive or Trustee, with specific experience in one of the following areas:

Comprehensive knowledge of corporate/public law including areas such as: collaborations and business partnerships, joint ventures, company law, corporate governance, commercial and business law, contracts and procurement (including EU requirements).

The candidate will require a strong commitment to the principles of the NHS and champion effective, safe services and an excellent patient and family experience. They will be passionate about improving child health and offer leadership qualities which will enable us to continually improve our clinical, operational and financial performance whilst preserving our reputation as a worldwide centre of excellence.
