Our new non-executive director (NED) will need an appreciation of the diversity of our stakeholder landscape, be an inspirational leader of complex change and bring challenge support innovation and passion to the team.  For this NED position we are keen to hear from outstanding individuals with Board level expertise and significant personal experience of workforce / human resources.

The successful personal shall have significant Board level or relevant senior management experience (either public or private sector) and will have experience in the area of workforce leadership / HR.

This is a challenging and rewarding role offering you the opportunity to improve health outcomes for our population now and in the future.  The new NED must have the intellect and strategic ability to contribute actively to the Board of a large public sector organisation, and will bring a passion for mental health and learning disability services.  We also welcome candidates with lived experience of our services.

Remuneration for this position is £12,345 per annum; this will be periodically reviewed by the Appointments and Remuneration Committee and any change subject to the approval of the Council of Governors.

There is likely to be a need for ‘on site’ presence per month for the equivalent of a minimum of 2 ½ days and up to 4 days if a chair or member of a Board sub-committee plus some time for reading and meeting preparation. This time may be required during the working day or in the evening. Applicants must be eligible to be members of the Trust.
