We are seeking 3 Non-Executive Directors to join our Board of Directors at an exciting time in our development and we are keen to appoint talented individuals who are as passionate as we are about supporting visual artists.
Founded over thirty years ago, DACS is a flagship organisation that campaigns for artists’ rights, championing their sustained and vital contribution to the creative economy. We are passionate about transforming the financial landscape for visual artists through innovative new products and services, and act as a trusted broker for 90,000 artists worldwide.
As a Board Director you will be responsible for the overall strategic direction of DACS, business planning and ensuring that DACS is delivering the highest quality services in the best interest of artists.
We are looking for individuals who have a genuine interest in visual arts and who share our ambitions to make a difference to the lives of artists.
In addition, you will have the relevant skills for the particular vacancy you are applying for:
Legal: As a highly experienced lawyer with strong commercial acumen you will have a good understanding of how the not-for-profit sector operates and be able to think creatively to analyse complex legal issues in their wider commercial context.
Communications: You will have a strong background in strategic communications to help us engage with new and existing audiences, build our external profile and networks, and promote the interests of artists and artists’ estates to external stakeholders.
Picture Library: You will be a representative from the picture library industry within a strategic, leadership role and able to put forward an industry perspective to help shape our strategies and activities.
The time commitment for this post is equivalent to 1 day per month with an annual stipend of up to £4,596.76.
