Trustee – Clinical Services
Unremunerated – reasonable expenses paid
The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury and neurodisability. We deliver rehabilitation, education and community services through our national specialist centre and The Children’s Trust School, based in Tadworth. We also offer support more widely through our community services for children and young people across the UK and via our online Brain Injury Hub. Established for over 30 years, we have a team comprising 522 staff and over 500 volunteers who together are dedicated to providing children with brain injury and neurodisability to have the opportunity to live the best life possible.
You join us at an exciting time, recently embarking on our next three-year strategy ‘Creating Futures Together’, which focuses on a number of key objectives including; to be the best at what we do, respond to the needs of children and young people, ensure our services are there for the long term and to scale up. To enable us to achieve our ambitions we are looking for a number of new trustees, including a ‘Trustee – Clinical Services’, who will provide constructive support and advice to our Director of Clinical Services and strategic oversight and input into the ongoing development of our clinical services. Your experience will also ensure we are informed and adapt to the ever-changing landscape of practice and regulation and ultimately ensure our services are safe, effective and caring.
We are looking for someone with experience at a Senior Nurse Level (level 8b or above) and with experience in paediatric and/or learning disability nursing. You may have possibly recently retired and are looking for a new challenge. Strong experience of clinical governance and continuous quality improvement are essential as we look to continually improve our clinical services and ensure we adapt and advance our ability to meet children’s needs.
Alongside your experience you will demonstrate empathy with the ambitions and aims of The Children’s Trust and share our values of being can-do, collaborative, caring and supportive, fun, professional and child and family focused.
