Overview

Join us as a trustee of TimeBank, the national volunteering charity, and help us build on the success of our volunteer projects that tackle some of the most complex social issues in our society. You’ll join a group of dedicated trustees who are passionate about our work, who share a collective pride in what we’ve achieved and have huge ambitions for our future.

Leadership qualities are important to us, to help us plan Chair and Deputy Chair succession over the next year as some of our trustees step down at the end of their tenure. We are looking for fundraising experience as diversifying this is one of our key aims. We are also keen to ensure that our Board reflects the diverse communities we work with.

TimeBank is a national volunteering charity which has built a first-class reputation for volunteer-led mentoring projects, while our employee volunteering is valued for its professionalism and flexibility. Over the last four years we have been funded by the Government to deliver an extensive volunteering project that enhances community integration by providing English Language teaching to UK residents – a project that has become a core part of our work.

This is a voluntary role, involving a minimum of four Board meetings a year, membership of one of the two sub-committees (four meetings a year) ad hoc support to the executive team and occasional evening events.

Closing date: 9am, Monday 20th November

To apply: Please go to http://timebank.org.uk/about/vacancy/join-us-as-a-timebank-trustee where you can download a Trustee Information Pack and Trustee Application Pack.

Successful candidates will be invited for an interview with our Chair, Peter Beeby, Chief Executive Helen Walker and another member of our trustee board.

Interviews are planned for Thursday 7th December.

About TimeBank, national volunteering charity

TimeBank is a national volunteering charity, started in 2000. We recruit and train volunteers to deliver mentoring projects to tackle complex social problems. We also work with businesses to engage their staff in volunteering. We believe that great volunteering can transform the lives of both volunteers and beneficiaries by building stronger, happier and more inclusive communities.
