Overview

Two Associate Non-Executive Directors

Remuneration: £6,157 pa for 2-3 days per month

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) is one of the largest hospital teaching Trusts in Europe.  We are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and we provide services to over 2.5 million residents of Nottingham and its surrounding communities and specialist services to 3 to 4 million patients. Operating across 3 sites, we have an annual income of over £900 million, 1,700 beds and over 14,000 employees. We have achieved a national and international reputation for many of our specialist services including stroke, renal, neurosciences, cancer services and trauma. As a teaching trust we have a strong relationship with The University of Nottingham with whom we host a Biomedical Research Centre.

Our vision for the future of our hospitals is ‘working together to be the best for patients.’  We want all our patients to feel cared for, safe and confident in their treatment.   To achieve this we know we also have to make NUH a great place to work.  We are in an exciting time of change in our leadership team with a new Chair appointed and in the process of appointing a new Chief Executive.  We are now seeking two Associate Non-Executive Directors to join our ambitious Board.

Our new Associate Non-Executive Directors will bring breadth and depth to our Board’s expertise and we are keen to hear from candidates with Board level experience in either: primary care leadership, estates and capital management or strategic Human Resources. For both positions we are seeking inspirational and resilient leaders who can bring robust challenge, support, innovation and energy to the team.  An understanding of corporate governance and an absolute commitment to our values and vision will be essential.
