SUMMARY:AI in the Boardroom: Opportunity\, Risk and Directors' Duties
DESCRIPTION:This panel discussion will explore how NEDs and Chairs can use AI to support better decision-making\, interrogate board papers\, and strengthen constructive challenge in the boardroom. \nCrucially\, it will also examine how the use of AI aligns with directors’ duties and responsibilities — including whether\, and to what extent\, reliance on AI tools supports or risks undermining a NED’s obligations. \nLegal and ethical considerations will be addressed\, including issues of confidentiality\, data security\, accountability\, and the boundaries of appropriate AI use at board level.
