We welcome the NED and board community to join us for panel insights as well as an interactive discussion focused on understanding Data and Artificial Intelligence at board level. The focus will be primarily on AI and board considerations. Given the business world’s increasing reliance on data and AI for operational and service delivery, Data and AI are topics increasingly important for board members (of all types of organisation) to understand.

- Judith kleine Holthaus is Head of Data & Insights at Fora Space, a premium flexible workspace scale- up. She oversees data, analysis, insights and systems approach, as well as product innovation. Prior, she was at Whitbread, the largest hotel chain in the UK, where she ran a Data Science and Insights team – which earned her the title of “Data Leader of the year” with DataIQ in 2018 and had her on the DataIQ top 100 most influential people list for data in the UK last year. Her team led customer research, segmentations, and analytics in advance of AI & automation stages. Judith also spent six years at McDonald’s in Business Strategy and Insights, where she collaborated with finance and wrote McDonald’s three year business strategy and made the case for major product launches including those incorporating digital transformation. Judith is also a NED at How Do I?, a start-up providing a video learning platform that helps people learn more easily.
- Markus Krebsz is currently COO/CRO at at a DaaS/AaaS/PaaS Ai FinTech start-up and an iNED, approved person, Supervisory council member & Audit committee chair of a globally expanding neobank. Markus is an adviser to the United Nations’ Group of Experts on Risk Management in Regulatory Systems (UNECE GRM) and a contributor to the United Nations’ Cybersecurity standards and the United Nations’ Disaster Risk Reduction Standards (‘Sendai framework’). He has been involved with the establishment of and as an advisor to several All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) in the UK incl. the TTF’s APPG on Financial Stability. He previously consulted with several NGOs incl. the World Bank, EU, ECB & SEC and is a published author/editor of more than 25 books and publications on governance & risk management. Markus is also an OSINT security researcher with an ethical hacker certification from Hacker House, and he is the Chief Philosophy Officer at the Artificial Intelligence Institute.
- Mike Bugembe is a bestselling author, international speaker and executive adviser in the world of data, analytics and AI. Working with product leaders from organisations like Facebook, Netflix, Amazon and Spotify, Mike published his unique approach to generating value from data in his best-selling book Cracking the Data Code. It has been used as a blueprint on data for many large businesses. He is also a popularly requested speaker, invited to share the stage with the likes of the late Steven Hawking and Gary Kasparov to discuss the future of AI and data. His research on the interplay between human decision making, behavioural economics and AI is also regularly requested and one he has been asked to deliver to large professional and academic institutions such as Harvard University, Microsoft and so much more. Mikes work has gained a lot of public recognition, and you can find a lot written about him in many popular publications and books. He has won several awards for data, AI and behavioural economics. In 2020 he was named as one of the most influential people in the world of data.
