20.09.2022 NEDonBoard Hybrid: Organisational purpose & board strategy
September 20 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pmFree - £80.00
Leading organisations are re-evaluating their purpose and realigning their strategies.
This informational and social event will inspire board members to more deeply consider what their organisations do and how.
Following the panel we welcome the board community to network over light nibbles and refreshments.
This event is sponsored and hosted by Grant Thornton.
17:30 – Doors open / networking
18:00 – NEDonBoard welcome
18:05 – Speaker insights, including from:
- Sarah Bell, Partner at Grant Thornton
- John Kerr, Chairman of Kin and Carta plc. John also holds other board positions in the technology and services space with other private equity-backed companies. Prior to that, John had a long career in professional services.
He chairs a board of seven at Kin and Carta, with five non-executive directors. The company has undergone significant transformation in the last three years, shedding its historic printing ties (it used to be known as St Ives plc), then disposing of some of the non-core technology businesses and focusing its strategy on its core of digital transformation. The company recently became the first B Corp to be listed on the London Stock Exchange, which is a statement of its commitment to ethical business and to its people.
19:00 – Q&A and interactive discussion
19:15 – Optional networking
20:00 – Event close
This event is specifically for experienced non-executive directors, board members and chairs, as well as those newly transitioning to a NED portfolio career. We look forward to welcoming you to this event.
