AI in the Boardroom: Opportunity, Risk and Directors’ Duties
September 15 | 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
£50 – £100This panel discussion will explore how NEDs and Chairs can use AI to support better decision-making, interrogate board papers, and strengthen constructive challenge in the boardroom.
Crucially, it will also examine how the use of AI aligns with directors’ duties and responsibilities — including whether, and to what extent, reliance on AI tools supports or risks undermining a NED’s obligations.
Legal and ethical considerations will be addressed, including issues of confidentiality, data security, accountability, and the boundaries of appropriate AI use at board level. Expect practical insights on how to use AI responsibly as a director, where it can genuinely add value, and how to evidence that its use enhances — rather than replaces — sound governance.
This session will also provide an opportunity to exchange experiences with peers and build confidence in integrating AI into your own board practice.
