Cyber Governance Code: Reduce Cyber Risk and Enhance Resilience – Guidance for All Boards and NEDs
September 29 | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Join NEDonBoard for an exclusive webinar for members, featuring representatives from the UK Government and the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), exploring the Cyber Governance Code of Practice and what it means for boards.
Cyber risk is no longer solely an IT or audit committee issue—it is a board-level governance responsibility. This session is designed for all non-executive directors, regardless of sector or cyber expertise, providing practical guidance on how boards can oversee cyber risk effectively and fulfil their governance duties.
The webinar will explore the Cyber Governance Code as a practical framework that boards of all organisations can adopt to strengthen oversight, improve decision-making and enhance organisational resilience. Attendees will gain an understanding of the board’s role in cyber governance, the key principles of the Code, and how to embed them into board practice, regardless of the organisation’s size or level of cyber maturity.
Insights will include additional cyber resources to enable NEDs to further challenge cyber practices; and conclude with a live Q&A, offering members the opportunity to engage directly with policymakers and discuss the practical application of the Code in the boardroom.
Speaker:
- Jack Harrigan, Head of Policy – Cyber Governance at the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT)
