Reducing financial and business risk is a critical element of being a non-executive director. But, in today’s world, the ever-increasing pace of change and the need to understand the impact of a cybersecurity risk leave many businesses playing catch up. As a NED, how do you take a complex and technical topic and make it simple to understand your business’s risks?

NEDonBoard is pleased to announce that it has teamed up with Fresh Security, a UK startup founded to find, quantify, and address your business’s cybersecurity risk in a simple and non-technical way. They allow any non-executive director, such as yourself, to get a view of the risks facing the business on which you serve immediately.

Fresh Security’s unique approach allows any NED to see their business’s cyber risk level without involving any technical team members. By focusing on how a hacker sees your business, NEDs get a leading indicator of cyber risk, which allows you to target security efforts before there is a problem.

This unique partnership between NEDonBoard and Fresh Security allows all NEDonBoard members, up to date with their membership fees, to use the service to:

  • Identify highly visible people in your business – the ones most likely to be targeted by hackers and cybercriminals;
  • Prioritise cybersecurity spend – focusing on training your highest risk employees first;
  • Show due care – using an auditable log of security actions.

NEDonBoard members can enrol in the service. Enrolment takes less than 20 seconds, is fully automated and comes complimentary to members. Enrolment is optional but highly recommended!

During this year, the Fresh Security service will become your own personal Chief Security Officer and provide you with the knowledge to make informed decisions about cybersecurity and allow you as a non-executive director and board member to have a level of knowledge to ask the appropriate questions across your business.
