The non-executive role on subsidiary boards
Overview
Published in December 1992, this report, also known as the Cadbury Report, provided a review of the structure and responsibilities of the board of directors along with a few recommendations in a Code of Best Practice.
Moreover, it addressed a number of recommendation for auditors and the accountancy profession, finally dealing with the rights and responsibilities of the shareholders.
(Whilst corporate governance has moved on since its publication, the Cadbury Report is often still referenced in terms of corporate governance.)
