£30This 2 part session is open to aspiring and experienced NEDs.
Comprised of 2 parts, it is designed in part one to educate aspiring NEDs on your journey to NEDship with a member case study; whilst in the second part encouraging experienced and aspiring NEDs alike to consider why boards are often not perceived to add value, so that you ensure you don’t make these same mistakes.
- 08:30 – Part 1: Behind the Boardroom Door – NEDship Journey
- Join us as portfolio board member Rashad Issa takes us through his personal journey to becoming a non-executive director. He’ll share the motivations that led him to the boardroom, steps he took to get his roles and lessons he’s learned along the way to contribute meaningfully in the boardroom.
- 08:45 – Part 2: Challenging the Perception – Do Boards Really Add Value?
- Despite their importance, many perceive boards as ineffective. In this interactive session, we’ll open the floor to explore this critical question: Why are boards often seen as not adding value?
- Drawing upon your shared experiences, we’ll unpack the perceptions and challenges – and work together to reimagine how boards can be more impactful and relevant in today’s environment.
