Speakers:
Practical NED perspectives will be shared by portfolio board members Esme Cole, Nick Moore and Stephen O’Donnell and their experience of board appointments and engagement outside of their industry experience.
- Nick Moore is a portfolio Non-Executive Director and Business Psychologist with 25+ years of board experience across tech, financial services, insurance, and the creative industries. He co-founded the UK’s first music dotcom to float on AIM in 1999 and now brings that same forward-thinking approach to how AI is reshaping business. Known for his commercial acumen and expertise in leadership and high-performing teams, Nick helps boards stay agile, ask better questions and drive sustainable growth.
- Stephen O’Donnell is an Independent NED at the Cambridge Building Society, with over £2B of assets under management. A regulated position, he is registered with the FSA and the Bank of England. Stephen is also a NED at GuardDog.AI, a NASDAQ-listed cyber security firm, and a Board Advisor to the CFA Society of the UK. ‘NEDs need extensive experience and must be prepared to learn new skills and acquire knowledge quickly. One moment, we are having a conversation about complex accounting and treasury matters, and the next, we are deep in a cybersecurity report. There is never a dull moment.’
